REAL VS AI — A MANIFESTO BY ULTRANOVA
Three years ago, ULTRANOVA was featured in Flanelle Magazine in an article exploring the future of fashion and the growing intersection between technology and artistry.
At the time, artificial intelligence in fashion still felt experimental — distant, conceptual, almost utopian.

Today, AI generates entire campaigns in seconds. Bodies become simulations. Textures become illusions. Fashion becomes increasingly detached from physical reality.
And yet, the more artificial the world becomes, the stronger our desire for something real.
At ULTRANOVA, we have never viewed technology as the enemy of creativity. Technology is a tool. A language. A catalyst for new forms. But fashion without human touch becomes empty spectacle — visually impressive, emotionally weightless.
A real garment carries tension, craftsmanship, precision, and imperfection. It exists in physical space. It interacts with the body. It reflects movement, pressure, light, and emotion in ways no generated image truly can.
This is why every ULTRANOVA piece begins with the human form.
Our silhouettes are sculpted around anatomy, posture, musculature, and movement. Inspired by futurism, cosmic minimalism, and the radical glamour of Thierry Mugler, we create objects that feel both engineered and alive.
Although digital tools influence our visual language, the creation itself remains deeply physical: molding, shaping, sanding, refining, reconstructing.
The process cannot be automated because emotion cannot be automated.
We are not interested in choosing between technology and artistry.
The future belongs to brands capable of balancing both.
AI can accelerate imagery. But it cannot replace instinct. It cannot replace obsession. It cannot replace the emotional energy embedded into something made by human hands.
In an era dominated by simulations, reality itself becomes luxury.
ULTRANOVA exists for those who still want to feel something real.
